The apiary before the work
From apiary to lodge
Why "The Apiary"?
Well, quite simply because this charming little chalet initially housed bees...
Indeed, in place of the bay windows there were about fifteen hives managed by Franz a few years ago.
After a few good years of producing good mountain honey (about 30 years), Franz began to have some health concerns and difficulties in coming to take care of his bees.
Honey production stops and the apiary is abandoned.
As owners of the neighboring house (200m away), we had already fallen in love with this little chalet in 2009.
One day, Franz contacts us and asks us if we still like his apiary. We are thrilled!
The deal is done and after some work done by our little hands, several liters of sweat and several hours and even years of headaches, we arrived at our comfortable little lodge.
A real little corner of paradise, at an altitude of 750m. Surrounded by mountains and nature.
Something to take a breath of fresh air to disconnect from our daily lives and recharge your batteries for a weekend, a week or more...
